This pad thai recipe is simple and made in the itaki pro. Fresh ingredients are place in the itaki in the appropriate layers. Just add water to allow the rice noodles to cook and a delicious meal is ready in 30 minutes.

Making pad thai in the itaki is as easy as layering the ingredients and adding water. This simple recipe is delicious and very flavorful. If preparing the ingredients for next day's lunch, remember to keep the metal bowl in the fridge until before cooking as there is raw meat inside. Remember to pack a quarter wedge of lime to drizzle on top to add another layer of flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 bundle - Rice noodles
- 50g - shredded carrots
- 100g - napa cabbage
- 150g - chicken thigh
- 1 - red chili
- 1 Tbsp - fried onion
- 1/3 cup - water (itaki)
- 1/3 cup - water (noodles)
Sauce
- 1 Tbsp - soy sauce
- 1 tsp - fish sauce
- 1/2 tsp - garlic powder
- 1/2 Tbsp - sriracha
- 1/2 Tbsp - peanut butter
- 1 Tbsp - honey
Garnishes
- 1 Tbsp - ground peanuts
- 1/4 wedge lime
Instructions
- Cut the napa cabbage into smaller pieces.
- Remove seeds from red chili peppers and slice into strips.
- Cut the lime into wedges.
- Marinate chicken thigh with soy sauce, fish sauce, garlic powder, sriracha, peanut butter & honey.
- Place the rice noodles at the bottom of the metal bowl.
- Add shredded carrots and cabbage stems.
- Add marinated chicken with all the sauce. Spread them out.
- Add chili, fried onion and cabbage leaves.
- Cover and keep in the fridge if not cooking immediately.
- Add 1/3 cup water to itaki hotplate area 1 hour before meal time.
- Place prepared metal bowl with ingredients into itaki.
- Add 1/3 cup water into the ingredients.
- Cover and turn on the itaki. Wait 30 minutes for food to cook.
- Food is ready after 30 minutes. Stir to mix. Remember to squeeze the lime and enjoy!
Notes
- Use any type of meat instead of chicken.
- Feel free to replace napa cabbage with other vegetables.
- Add more sriracha is you prefer more spicy.
- Peanuts toppings are optional but recommended.
